• Ysconderijo (€€€€):
  Small, intimate restaurant in the old town of São Brás. Exquisite Portuguese fusion cuisine with fresh fish and meat.
• Tachinho da Avó Luísa (€€):
  Local cuisine on the main road leading to São Brás.
• Moss - Fresh food & Coffee (€€):
  Mainly vegetarian dishes. Nice lunch specials.

  Everything here revolves around seafood.

  Local dishes in a restaurant right on the main square. Simple, but good.
• Horta (€€):
  on the road to Tavira. Typical Portuguese cuisine for lunch and dinner. Lots of locals.
• Circular (€€):
  only open at lunchtime. Vegetarian dishes.

Mealhas - distance by car 10 min.

• Beira Serra (€€):
  Typical Portuguese restaurant in the countryside near Mealhas. Very good quality.

Moncarapacho - distance by car 20 min.

• Da Ana Restaurante & Snack Bar (€€€):
  In the center of Moncarapacho, near the church. Authentic Portuguese cuisine. Best porco preto.

Loulé - distance by car 20 min.

• Aurora by Vitor Veloso (€€€€):
  Traditional Portuguese and international dishes, also vegetarian. Excellent cuisine. The prices are slightly higher than in a typical Portuguese restaurant, but much cheaper than in chef's restaurants of the same level.
• Restaurante 11 da Villa (€€€):
  Very lovingly decorated restaurant in the heart of Loulé. Inside the restaurant there is an amazing vaulted ceiling. The restaurant also has a beautiful outdoor terrace. Creative and excellent selection of tapas made from local fish, meat and vegetables. An absolute recommendation! Be sure to book in advance.

Olhão - distance by car 30 min.

• Tasca O Galo (€€):
  Excellent food, nice service and a sweet bill. If you're lucky, you can try the chef's latest creations.
• Chá Chá Chá (€€€):
  Tapas/petiscos, salads and a handful of fish and meat dishes fresh from the nearby market. Reservation required.
• Mogno - Your Natural Choice (€€):
  Excellent vegetarian dishes and Thai-style seafood.

Fuseta - distance by car 30 min.

• Café dos Mestres (€€€):
  Best fish and seafood straight from the grill on the main street. Best combined with a day trip to the island of Fuseta. Book in advance if you are going to the island.
• Casa Corvo (€€€):
  Traditional fish restaurant at the harbor and fish hall of Fuseta. Fresh fish straight from the grill. Excellent. We highly recommend the turbot for up to four people (depending on size). No reservation possible. It's best to be there at 18.30 to secure a table. Can be perfectly combined with a previous excursion to the island off Fuseta.

Ilha do Farol - distance by car 30 min. plus boat

• Maramais (€€):
  Extensive cocktail menu and homemade sandwiches. Be sure to bring cash. No cards or MBWay. If you are taking a day trip to Ilha do Farol, you should enjoy a drink and lunch here.

Parque Natural da Ria Formosa (Praia do Barril) - distance by car 30 min.

• Os Fialhos (€€€):
  Where to start - the view from the outdoor terrace is beautiful. The selection of seafood and fish is huge and everything is fresh. The view and the high quality and freshness of the food is a wonderful experience. Perfect in combination with a trip to Praia do Barril.

Tavira - distance by car 30 min.

• Gilão (€€):
  Excellent food at reasonable prices. Very nice and quick service. If you sit outside, you have a very nice view of the river.

Santa Luzia - distance by car 30 min.

• Casa do Polvo Tasquinha (€€€):
  Great setting on the beach with fishing boats on the shore. Fresh seafood prepared to perfection according to creative recipes. Specializes in octopus.

Almancil - distance by car 30 min.

• Botânico (€€€€):
  Looking for a special night out in the Algarve? Spectacular food, the best margarita, a beautiful ambience and friendly staff. The Iberian pork chop and steaks are fantastic.

Faro - distance by car 30 min.

• A tasca do João (€€€):
  Near the Regional Museum of the Algarve. Discover new flavors of Mediterranean and Portuguese cuisine. Very good tapas.
• À do Pinto (€€€):
  New from the Mediterranean and Portuguese cuisine. Delicious fried octopus, great garlic prawns and tasty cod. The cataplana is particularly recommended.
• Taberna Zé-Zé (€€€):
  Taberna Zé-Zé offers visitors the chance to sample Mediterranean and Portuguese cuisine. You will find delicious prawns, mussels and razor clams here.
• Pigs and Cows (€€€):
  If you like French and Portuguese cuisine, Pigs and Cows is worth a visit. They serve well-cooked beef and a great ceviche.
• Outro Lado (€€€):
  Portuguese and vegetarian cuisine awaits you here. In this restaurant you can eat perfectly cooked soups, tofu and vegan burgers.
